Andrea SCHNELL was born in Mödling in Lower Austria in 1956. She completed her studies at the Higher Graphic Education and Research Institute in Vienna and in 1991 attended the painting class with Jürgen Böttcher-Strawalde at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg. With her “body drawings”, Andrea Schnell does not depict any naturalistic corporealities. Rather, she transfers her own subjective feelings, moods and inner ideas onto paper and thus confronts the viewer.
Since 1991 regular participation in exhibitions in Austria, South Tyrol, Slovenia and Scotland. The artist lives and works in Hinterbrühl near Mödling / Lower Austria. 2015 – first exhibition in the gallery Welz.
