Robert ZEPPEL-SPERL was born in Leoben in Styr­ia in 1944. 1962 to 1968 stud­ied at the Acad­e­my of Fine Arts in Vien­na with Pro­fes­sor Max­i­m­il­ian Melch­er and Pro­fes­sor Max Weil­er. He was a mem­ber of the Vien­na Seces­sion and co-founder of the artist group “Real­i­ties”, which was launched in 1968. 1969 moved to Venice. From 1977 repeat­ed stays in America.
1990 con­struc­tion of a stu­dio in Bali. 1992 Artis­tic design of the Bärn­bach school. From 1995, glass sculp­tures were cre­at­ed in Murano,
in the Beren­go glass fac­to­ry. Zep­pel-Sperl has received numer­ous prizes and awards. From 1967 exhi­bi­tions and par­tic­i­pa­tion in exhi­bi­tions. Robert Zep­pel-Sperl lived and worked in Vien­na, Venice and Bali.
The artist dies on Feb­ru­ary 25, 2005 in Vien­na. 1986 — first exhi­bi­tion in the Welz gallery.
