Johann Julian Taupe
Exhibition from 11/25/2020 – 01/09/2021
Johann Julian Taupe, born in Gritschach near Villach in 1954, studied from 1976 to 1981 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Prof. Max Weiler. From 1981 to 1983 Taupe was a lecturer with Prof. Arnulf Rainer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and received the Austrian State Scholarship for Fine Arts from 1983 to 1984.
For Julian Taupe, painting is an ongoing process, an expression of his experiences and impressions. He invites the viewer to find his own continuation. The artist repeatedly reassembles abstract, colorful fragments. Clear forms with partly figurative elements in bright colors create the impression of a deeper level. New canvas works by the artist shown in the exhibition.
