Rudolf HRADIL was born in Salzburg in 1925. 1947 to 1951 stud­ies at the Acad­e­my of Fine Arts in Vien­na with Ander­sen, Güter­sloh and Boeckl (evening act). Stu­dents with Anton Kolig dur­ing the semes­ter break. 1951 to 1952 Paris schol­ar­ship, stud­ies in the Fer­nand Léger stu­dio. 1959 to 1960 attend­ed the Cen­tral School of Arts and Crafts in Lon­don. 1963 schol­ar­ship at the Isti­tu­to Aus­tri­a­co di Cul­tura in Rome. Since 1964 mem­ber of the Seces­sion, Vien­na. 1965 Schol­ar­ship from the Max Beck­mann Soci­ety in Mur­nau and Frank­furt / Main. 1981, 1982 and 1984 class for etch­ing, 1989 class for water­col­or at the Inter­na­tion­al Sum­mer Acad­e­my Salzburg. 1982 invi­ta­tion to the Aus­tri­an Cul­tur­al Insti­tute in Istan­bul. 1986 schol­ar­ship from DAAD, Berlin. His oeu­vre is rep­re­sent­ed in numer­ous nation­al and inter­na­tion­al col­lec­tions. Rudolf Hradil dies in Vien­na in 2007.
