Hans KRUCKENHAUSER was born on April 9, 1940 in Bre­genz. 1959 to 1964 stud­ied at the Acad­e­my of Fine Arts in Vien­na. 1960 Attend­ed the School of See­ing at the Salzburg Sum­mer Acad­e­my, where he devot­ed him­self to nude paint­ing. 1965 to 1967 stud­ies in Paris and assis­tant to Kurt Moldovan at the Inter­na­tion­al Sum­mer Acad­e­my in Salzburg. 1968 to 1979 assis­tant at the Acad­e­my of Fine Arts in Vien­na, mas­ter school for graph­ics with Prof. Max­i­m­il­ian Melch­er. From 1980 active as a free­lance artist. Numer­ous exhi­bi­tions and par­tic­i­pa­tions in exhi­bi­tions and hon­ors fol­lowed, includ­ing Hon­orary Prize of the Salzburg Art Asso­ci­a­tion for Graph­ics (1964), Medaille d’or de l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts por Pein­ture des Nus, Paris (1966). Study vis­its to Paris, Venice and Lon­don. Until 2005 assis­tant at the acad­e­my in Vien­na. The artist lived and worked in Oslip in Burgenland.
