Yoko OMOMI was born in Madagascar in 1971. She spent much of her childhood in Japan, after which she lived in Zambia, Rwanda, England, Northern Ireland and Spain.
She studied fine arts at the City & Guilds of London Art School. This was followed by a “Master in European Fine Art” at the Winchester School of Art in Winchester and Barcelona. Her work has received several awards and is in public collections in England and Germany. In addition to her own artistic activity, she has also worked as a freelance art teacher for many years. Yoko Omomi specializes in sumi‑e painting (Japanese ink painting) and contemporary art. The artist has lived in Germany since 2004.
