Markus PRILLER was born on August 17th, 1956 in Salzburg. 1975 to 1979 attended the school for wood and stone sculpture in Innsbruck. From 1979 to 1985 studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. From 1990 to 1996 assistant to Prof. Hans Ladner at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Has worked as a freelance artist since 1985. It is obvious that Markus Priller is fascinated by everything archaic. Characteristic of his work are the forms that have been awakened to life of their own. Regardless of whether it is wood or metal, he succeeds in picking up oscillations and vibrations and conveying an apparent weightlessness. The artist has lived and worked on Lake Attersee since 1997. 2017 – first exhibition in the gallery Welz.
