PAUL FLORA
Exhibition from 06.12.2025 — 14.01.2026

The South Tyrolean illustrator and caricaturist Paul Flora (1922–2009) is one of the most important artists of the Austrian post-war period with his characteristic drawings and extensive graphic works. He became known above all for his striking, humorous and satirical works. Paul Flora lived and worked in Innsbruck. The current exhibition features drawings, lithographs and etchings that reflect the artist’s subtle powers of observation.
The artist, born in Bangkok in 1952, has been working continuously on work blocks in small format for years. On the one hand, he composes colored surfaces with pigments on the paper primed with beeswax. The second group of works comprises reduced black and white picture compositions.
