YOSHI TAKAHASHI

Yoshi Takahashi, born in Tokyo in 1943, studied at the University of Fine Art Tokyo and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In addition to his teaching activities (1973–1993), Takahashi created works on paper, canvas and graphics. From 1974 onwards, he devoted himself intensively to printmaking techniques. In his painterly and graphic color mosaics, the artist invites the viewer to enter gardens and discover plants, animals and houses step by step. Takahashi lived in Germany from 1966 and in Austria from 1974. The artist died in Bad Reichenhall (Germany) in 1998.

The artist, born in Bangkok in 1952, has been working continuously on work blocks in small format for years. On the one hand, he composes colored surfaces with pigments on the paper primed with beeswax. The second group of works comprises reduced black and white picture compositions.
Suvat graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Since 1983 the artist has participated in numerous exhibitions and exhibition participations in Austria, Germany and Italy. Suvat lives and works in Vienna.
