Heinz GÖBEL was born in Salzburg in 1947. From 1967 to 1972, he stud­ied at the Acad­e­my of Fine Arts in Vien­na, grad­u­at­ing in the mas­ter class for graph­ic art. From 1974 to 1975 he received a schol­ar­ship in Egypt. This was fol­lowed by numer­ous exhi­bi­tions and par­tic­i­pa­tions in exhi­bi­tions at home and abroad. He has received numer­ous awards: Pro­mo­tion Prize of the Salzburg­er Kun­stvere­in (1977) — State Schol­ar­ship for Paint­ing (1978) — Prize at the 17th Aus­tri­an Graph­ics Com­pe­ti­tion, Inns­bruck (1980) — Bronze medal at the Inter­na­tion­al Prize for Water­col­or, Rome (1981) — Slavi Soucek Prize of the State of Salzburg (1982) — Gold Medal of Mer­it of the Repub­lic of Aus­tria (1983) — Pur­chase price of the City of Salzburg at the Trakl Com­pe­ti­tion ( 1987) — 1st prize, kiwa­nis print com­pe­ti­tion (1992) — Par­tic­i­pa­tion in the 5th Sil­vrett stu­dio (2006). Heinz Göbel died on Novem­ber 16, 2013. 1979 – first exhi­bi­tion in the gallery Welz.
