Heinz GÖBEL was born in Salzburg in 1947. From 1967 to 1972, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, graduating in the master class for graphic art. From 1974 to 1975 he received a scholarship in Egypt. This was followed by numerous exhibitions and participations in exhibitions at home and abroad. He has received numerous awards: Promotion Prize of the Salzburger Kunstverein (1977) — State Scholarship for Painting (1978) — Prize at the 17th Austrian Graphics Competition, Innsbruck (1980) — Bronze medal at the International Prize for Watercolor, Rome (1981) — Slavi Soucek Prize of the State of Salzburg (1982) — Gold Medal of Merit of the Republic of Austria (1983) — Purchase price of the City of Salzburg at the Trakl Competition ( 1987) — 1st prize, kiwanis print competition (1992) — Participation in the 5th Silvrett studio (2006).
